Winemaker visit, including gourmet dinner

Wines are not only made to be tasted in tiny sips and then spit out, they are made to be enjoyed. Mostly, this is done in conjunction with food. In order to present wines in the best possible way, you should understand the basics affecting the interaction of food and wine.

No matter what the occasion - be it at home or in a restaurant - there are a few basic rules you should follow. The following programme provides an enjoyable and informative introduction into the culinary secrets of this topic.

When you arrive at the Nelles wine estate, you will be greeted with a glass of sparkling wine. We will show you the complex and cellar, and will discuss how the method of wine production influences the taste of the wine.

A brief lecture will introduce our menu of regional gourmet food. Two wines are served with each course to illustrate the perfect harmony of food and wine. The dinner menu will be accompanied by an informal comentary, giving you an opportunity to present any questions you may have in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
