Wineassistent / Commis SommlierAvailable as of January 2011 is a 14-day program for young restaurant employees, a part-time entry level course focusing on the topic of wine in restaurants. Topics include: sensory appreciation of wine, pairing food and wine, wine-growing countries of the world, extensive beverage studies, as well as a very practical element dedicated to customer service. This program provides the most important basics for those dreaming of becoming a sommelier at a later stage. Both a written and a practical examination will document the knowledge acquired by participatns. The dtaes for the first course as well as the schedule of fees will be announced in September 2010.
