Sigi Hiss is a journalist, a consultant, and an expert on rare wines. His uncompromising neutrality and independence have made him known far beyond the German borders. Based on his international experience and his outstanding expert knowledge, Sigi Hiss is responsible for the English-language courses provided by the IWI.

Sigi Hiss has spent many years working in the wine trade and in restaurants. He qualified as a state-certified wine trade specialist (CC) in 2002, graduating with honours.He lived in London from 2004 - 2006, and used this time to expand his network at an international level. He has been working as a journalist since 2004. His articles have been published, among others, in the WeinWisser magazine, in the German Sommelier magazin, the WineTimes, in the World of Fine Wines and on his Internet pages.
