Terms and conditions of participation and payment

Registration

Registration for a seminar is effected either via the Internet, or in writing, using a registration form issued by the International Wine Institute (IWI). The participant will receive a confirmation from the International Wine Institute. The registration for a seminar brings into force a contract between the person registering and the International Wine Institute (IWI).

Cancellation of contract. The person registering for a seminar may cancel the contract at any time up to 12 working days after the registration has been received, without incurring any costs. If the contract is cancelled at a later date, or if the registered person is a no-show at the event, the full seminar fee is due for payment. Where a contract is cancelled for important personal reasons (death, unexpected severe illness, severe accident of the participant or of a close living-in relative), there is no charge for the cancellation. In this case, the registering person must provide, of their own accord, evidence of the important reason cited for the cancellation of the contract.

Payment terms

The full seminar fee is payable on presentation of the invoice, and no later than prior to the beginning of the event in question. Invoices are not discountable.

Representation/ booking changes

The person registering for a seminar may at any time specify an alternative person as a participant. No additional charges are incurred for this. The same rule applies where a seminar or educational rpogramme is cancelled because of an insufficient number of registrations, in which case the cancellation may be expressed up to 5 working days prior to the beginning of the event.
